Reconnect
At Earthsong Hawaiʻi, our programs bring together land-based learning, mindful movement, and community connection.
Set within a regenerative food forest in rural Kāʻu, our programs invite you to explore practical ways of living in greater harmony with the Earth while creating space for rest, reflection, and personal growth.
Whether you are learning to grow food, deepening your yoga practice, or simply seeking a meaningful connection with nature, Earthsong offers a place to learn and flourish.
Permaculture
Design with nature
Permaculture is both a design approach and a way of seeing the world. It teaches us to observe natural systems, work with rather than against ecological patterns, and create abundant, resilient places for people and the planet.
At Earthsong, permaculture is practiced every day through our gardens, food forest, restoration projects, and community life.
Our permaculture programs may include:
Introduction to permaculture ethics and principles
Tropical food forests and organic gardening
Soil building and composting
Growing food and medicinal plants
Water conservation and natural systems
Ecological restoration and land management
Low-impact building and creative reuse
Seed saving, propagation, and harvesting
Regenerative agriculture and sustainable living
Hands-on design activities and practical demonstrations
Our work is guided by three core ethics:
Earth care: Supporting healthy soil, water, plants, animals, and ecosystems
People care: Creating conditions for health, learning, cooperation, and belonging
Share of Surplus: Sharing knowledge, resources, food, and abundance

How we learn & live
Held by Hawai’i Island
Earthsong’s location on Hawaiʻi Island is an integral part of the experience. The island’s rich biodiversity, volcanic landscapes, tropical climate, and powerful relationship with nature create a unique setting for learning and renewal. Here, time outdoors, connection to the land, and respect for place are not separate from the program, they are part of the teaching itself.
Mother Earth as the Guide
At Earthsong Hawaiʻi, we look to Mother Earth as our greatest teacher. Through movement, breath, meditation, nourishment, nature connection, and community, we learn to listen more deeply to the wisdom of the natural world. Our programs weave holistic health together with practical ecological education, inviting us to care for both our inner landscapes and the living Earth that sustains us.
Learning through living systems
Permaculture and holistic health share a common foundation: both encourage us to observe, listen, and work in harmony with natural rhythms. Through hands-on land stewardship and embodied practices such as yoga, participants learn how personal wellbeing and ecological wellbeing are deeply connected. The result is an integrated experience that supports the body, mind, spirit, and living world.
